Eng. Ibrahim El Araby, Deputy Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Cairo Chamber’s Chairman said - after his attendance in Science day- that the statements of President Abdel Fattah El SiSi about creating a new fund to sponsor scientists and innovators, co-financed from state coffers and the private sector, in addition, the government will increase the number of awards given to scholars and double their financial value and establishing Egypt's city for science, technology and invention in the New Administrative Capital, are considered important step taken to produce scientific ideas, and creating the necessary environment for fostering and rewarding innovation. If the State takes an active interest in science, will advance in all sectors, especially economic sector.
He pointed out that the State seeks to create an environment that could encourage researchers and innovators in all sectors especially that The President decided to create four new prizes for innovation in the fields of agriculture, food, health, medicine, energy, industry, and water, which represent significant importance for society.
Cairo Chamber’s Chairman confirmed that the private sector plays a big role regarding social responsibility and cooperating with the Government in creating a new fund to sponsor scientists and innovators, who are the future of Egypt.
