Chambers of Commerce are seeking new markets for export support

Chambers of Commerce are looking to open new markets for Egyptian products in order to increase exports and support the economy. This occurs during the participation of the Egyptian delegation in Damascus International Fair in Syria which started last Thursday and lasts for 10 days.

 

Ali Shoukry, Cairo Chamber‘s Vice-Chairman and the head of the Chamber's delegation said "The aim of the participation is to seek to open new markets for local products through this international exhibition, which is attended by many countries as well as supporting the Syrian economy.

 

Shoukry pointed out that the participation of the Egyptian delegation alongside the Egyptian exhibitors is an important step towards increasing the Egyptian-Syrian economic relations in various fields. He expected that there will be a boom in these relations, especially after the welcomed reception by the Syrian people to the Egyptian delegation and expressing their happiness. This great exhibition, pointing to holding some meetings between the Egyptian delegation and some Syrian officials to discuss various economic affairs and support the reconstruction of Syria through development projects in various fields.

 

For his part, Emad Qenawy, Cairo Chamber’s board member and Head of Importers Division was pleased with the warm welcome by the Syrian side, Considering the participation of the Egyptian side as an important step towards increasing Egyptian-Syrian relations with regard to Investment and trade . It is worth mentioning that 23 countries participate in this exhibition and Egypt participate with “Made in Egypt” Pavilion, which has achieved a notable success.

 

Qenawy called that a twinning arrangements between Egypt and Syria should be supported to benefit from export and import and not to apply the law No. 43 about the registration of supplying companies to the Egyptian market on the Syrian companies in support of mutual trade between the two countries in the coming period.
