The Egyptian and Vietnamese sides issued a joint statement at the end of the visit of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi in Vietnam, in which they agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, industry, transport, tourism, communications and information technology and increase trade volume to one billion dollars annually
The statement stressed that the two presidents agreed to intensify mutual visits at all levels, governmental, parliamentary, popular and commercial. The two sides also highlighted the importance of the effective continuation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the Joint Governmental Committee, political consultations and strengthening strategic understanding between the two countries..
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, industry, small and medium enterprises, agriculture, fish farming, transportation, port construction, shipbuilding, culture, tourism, communications, information technology and education.
The two presidents witnessed signing of six memoranda of understanding, two executive programs and one Protocol in various economic fields.
