"After the active participation of the Egyptian delegation, which is considered historic, there will be a boom in the Egyptian-Syrian investment and trade relations in the coming period, expecting that there will be joint agreements between the two countries to further develop their economy." said Ali Shoukry, Vice Chairman of Cairo Chamber of Commerce and head of the Egyptian delegation who participated in the opening of Damascus International Fair in Syria last month.

Shoukry noted that during his visit to Damascus, the Egyptian delegation met with some Syrian officials, including the ministers of trade, foreign affairs and tourism, and the Syrian Ambassador Dr. Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun, who thanked him and all the officials and members of the chambers of commerce and industry in Syria for their hospitality. That this shows the extent of the strong relationship between the two brotherly countries.

He stressed that the Egyptian participation in a special pavilion at the exhibition, which included several countries which is one of the most important exhibitions in the region, is an important step towards marketing local products and opening up new markets not only in Syria but also in many of the participating countries that exceed the 25 countries.  Adding that the next stage will witness bilateral meetings between the businessmen of the two countries and exchanging joint investments in various fields, which is monitored by businessmen in the two countries currently.
