Ibrahim El-Araby, Vice-President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Cairo Chamber, announced the launch of a new initiative under slogan "Energy by the card"; to free train vendors in the outlets selling lighting equipment, appliances and air conditioners in the governorates of Cairo and Giza on the contents of the energy efficiency card affixed to devices and equipment in the outlets and free of charge from vendors or traders.

This comes within the framework of the continuous and fruitful cooperation of the Chamber with the Energy Efficiency Improvement Project for Lighting and Home Appliances, which is implemented under the umbrella of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in line with the new electricity consumption trend that based on rationalization and reduction of consumption. 

 

Ali Shoukry, Cairo Chamber’s Vice Chairman, said: "An exhibition is currently under way to sell the products of the companies whose vendors have been trained in order to allow for the actual marketing of these products (under the slogan" energy by the card ") and also for the scientific evaluation of the results of training programs and awareness campaigns, Which can be used both in the future activities of the Chamber or the project of improving energy efficiency and this proposal in case of adoption of the implementation full cooperation will be held between the project and the Chamber represented by the concerned commercial divisions.
