Chambers of Commerce refuse transferring the US Embassy to Jerusalem

Cairo traders objected the announcement by US President Donald Trump yesterday to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and recognizing that Palestinian Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

 

 

 

Cairo Chamber’s Board Members warned in a statement today on behalf of traders of the repercussions of this trend, pointing out that Jerusalem means the existence of the Palestinian state, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative. The Board also noted that this unaccepted in form and in substance,because it would  Lead to chaos and instability, encouraging extremism in the region, challenging the international community and the requirements of peace.

 

 

 

The Board Members called on the American president to quickly reverse this dangerous trend, which provokes the entire Arab region, which would lead to unsatisfactory results at any time during the coming period. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has informed both the Palestinian President and the Jordanian King of his intention to transfer the embassy. From Israel to Jerusalem, amid warnings from some countries of the serious consequences of such a resolution, which would destroy the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians.
