Yehia zananiry, Deputy Head of the General Division of the ready-made garments in the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce said that winter sale will launch on Jan 15, and will continue until mother′s Day on 21 March.

He added that the Sale this year will see reductions ranging between 20% and 50% on all local and imported clothes in order to push the market, which is witnessing a complete stagnation since the beginning of the season, prompting the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce to coordinate with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

He said that there is a plan by the ministry to monitor the activities of the Sale in cooperation with producers and regulatory bodies.

He added that the prices of winter clothes this season saw large increases between 20 and 30%, in addition to the increase in the ready-made clothes since the liberalization of the exchange rate, which is estimated at 100% in light of rising production inputs, energy and wages.
