The Petroleum Products Division of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce said that the consumption liquid petroleum products reached its peak in the current period, and will continue to early February.

Dr. Hossam Arafat, Chairman of the Division, said that there are no bottlenecks in the distribution of all petroleum products, including natural gas, benzene, and diesel, at the level of the Republic. He pointed out that the season of peak consumption of petroleum products in the country during the winter extends from the second half of January to the beginning of February, especially natural gas and Butane. He stressed that the stock and reserves of those products at the highest levels from nearly 15 years ago.

He added that the last crisis of these products was in the winter of 2015, and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi apologized to citizens and vowed not to repeat these crises, adding that after that crisis, a number of projects, investments and procedures in the oil sector have contributed to enhance storage capacity as well as organizing the flows of imported materials.
