The Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce invites you to participate in the Scientific Conference on Finance and International Trade in the Context of the New Protectionism, organized by the Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government in the United Arab Emirates.

The conference will be held from September 28 to 29, 2026, in a hybrid format. It will take place in person at the School’s premises in City Walk, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and virtually via online platforms and channels to be announced later.

The conference aims to provide a scientific platform bringing together researchers and policymakers to discuss and exchange views on the motivations and implications of the transformation of the global trading system from the liberal model toward new protectionist trends, as well as the potential impact of these developments on Arab economies.

It will also seek to explore opportunities to strengthen the ability of Arab countries to adapt to new protectionist measures, improve their competitiveness, and provide smart protection for their products. In addition, the conference will examine ways to secure a stronger position for Arab economies within the international trade landscape amid emerging global trends and economic blocs, as well as global digital and traditional economic transformations in the fields of financial settlements and digital currencies.

Please note: All participation costs shall be borne by the participant or the participating entity.
