As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic relations between Egypt and Tanzania, Mr. Ayman El Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, received Ms. Nasria Nassor, Minister Plenipotentiary and Commercial Attaché at the Tanzanian Embassy in Egypt, at the Chamber’s headquarters to discuss ways to enhance joint economic cooperation and increase trade and investment exchange between the two countries.
The meeting addressed plans to organize a joint business forum in Egypt in the coming period, with broad participation from Egyptian and Tanzanian business leaders. The forum aims to showcase available investment, commercial, and industrial opportunities, and will be followed by a similar forum in Tanzania, contributing to opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation.
Mr. El Ashry emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Tanzanian side across various sectors, noting that the Chamber’s membership exceeds 730,000 members operating in diverse fields. This, he explained, represents a strong base for supporting joint economic cooperation.
He also highlighted the promising opportunities within the Egyptian market, supported by government incentives and facilitation measures that encourage investment, industrial localization, and the expansion of exports to global markets, in line with the vision of the political leadership led by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The Chairman expressed his aspiration to deepen cooperation with Tanzania in the coming phase, affirming the Chamber’s readiness to provide full support to enhance economic relations and encourage business communities in both countries to establish effective partnerships that contribute to mutual development.
For her part, Ms. Nassor expressed her pleasure at meeting the Chairman of the Cairo Chamber, praising the warm reception and affirming her country’s keenness to expand cooperation with Egypt across various economic sectors.
She noted that the upcoming joint forum in Egypt represents an important step toward strengthening bilateral relations and opening new avenues for partnership between the business communities of both countries. She also invited the Chairman of the Cairo Chamber to visit Tanzania in the near future, in addition to encouraging Egyptian companies to participate in the international exhibition to be held in Tanzania from June 28 to July 13, 2026, coinciding with national celebrations. This event presents a valuable opportunity to promote products and explore investment and cooperation prospects. .
