Cairo Chamber Receives Chinese Delegation to Discuss Strengthening Trade and Investment Relations

The Cairo Chamber of Commerce received a Chinese economic delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Guangzhou), along with representatives from the Chinese Embassy, to discuss strengthening trade and investment cooperation between Egypt and China across several key sectors.

 

Mr. Ahmed El-Weiseemy, Board Member of the Cairo Chamber, welcomed the delegation on behalf of Chairman Mr. Ayman El-Eshry.

 

Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in sectors including plastics, food industries, textiles, logistics, consumer goods, automotive, agricultural products, and electrical appliances, in addition to exploring industrial and commercial partnerships between Egyptian and Chinese companies.

 

During the meeting, Mr. El-Weiseemy highlighted the promising opportunities within the Egyptian market and the Chamber’s commitment to supporting partnerships between Egyptian and Chinese business communities.

 

For his part, Mr. Xiaofeng Huang, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Guangzhou and head of the delegation, expressed strong interest in expanding Chinese investments in Egypt, describing Egypt as a strategic hub for trade, manufacturing, and exports to African and Arab markets.

 

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination to further strengthen Egyptian-Chinese economic relations and increase bilateral trade and joint investments in the coming period.
