The International Transport and Logistics Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce held an expanded meeting to discuss mechanisms for developing and advancing the sector in line with global changes and Egypt Vision 2030.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Ayman El Sheikh, Chairman of the Division, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the meeting in discussing the visions and proposals of the Division’s Board Members regarding the development of the transport and logistics sector, both at the local market level and within the framework of global competition. He praised the specialized expertise of the Division’s members, which qualifies them to formulate practical proposals that contribute to supporting the sector and enhancing its efficiency.

The Chairman explained that the meeting addressed the main challenges facing the sector from various aspects, in addition to discussing development and growth proposals in detail, in preparation for submitting them in an urgent memorandum to Mr. Ayman El Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, in order to communicate them to the relevant authorities and work toward their implementation.

He added that the Division may hold additional meetings during the coming period, if necessary, with the aim of reaching an integrated vision and final recommendations that reflect the reality of the sector and keep pace with the comprehensive development plan Egypt has witnessed in recent years.

He also expressed his appreciation for the constructive discussions and ideas presented during the meeting, considering this step part of the Division’s role in supporting the state’s efforts to develop various economic sectors in a way that supports the national economy and enhances its competitiveness.

For his part, Dr. Amr El Samdony, Secretary-General of the Division, confirmed that an integrated memorandum containing all proposals will be prepared after refining and prioritizing them in an organized manner. He pointed out that the transport and logistics sector is considered one of the vital sectors connected to various economic activities and has a direct impact on both the economic and social levels.
