The Cairo Chamber of Commerce, headed by Mr. Ayman El-Ashry, signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Arab Institution for Social Protection Experts, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Hanafy, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers.
The protocol was signed on behalf of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce by Mr. Ayman El-Ashry, President of the Chamber, and on behalf of the Arab Institution for Social Protection Experts by Dr. Al-Moaz Ledein Allah Mahrous, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The protocol aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides in various fields, with a particular focus on raising social and insurance awareness and introducing social legislation through the organization of educational seminars for workers across different sectors. This is intended to increase awareness of their social insurance rights and encourage the development of mechanisms and programs related to corporate social responsibility.
The protocol also seeks to provide specialized awareness programs to support the legal expertise of professionals working in the field of social legislation, in addition to offering the necessary technical support to develop their technical, financial, and administrative capacities. It further includes organizing programs, activities, and training courses to introduce modern management methods, achieve administrative development, and support digital transformation efforts.
In this regard, Dr. Khaled Hanafy explained that the Union of Arab Chambers is an Arab organization established in 1951 to represent the private sector in Arab countries. Its activities have expanded to establish a network of 17 joint Arab foreign chambers spread across various countries worldwide. He emphasized that the Union is concerned with private sector issues across all activities and places great importance on social responsibility within international frameworks. The Union continuously seeks to keep the private sector aligned with global developments and to strengthen its societal role in a way that contributes to community development, which in turn positively reflects on the development of the private sector itself—prompting the Union’s participation in this cooperation and the signing of the protocol.
For his part, Mr. Ayman El-Ashry stressed the importance of joint cooperation and the need to focus on the second and third generations of companies, particularly family-owned businesses. He highlighted the importance of enhancing communication between different generations through specialized training and educational programs, contributing to the support of the national economy. He affirmed that the Cairo Chamber of Commerce welcomes and strongly supports this cooperation, as the protocol opens the door to launching new community initiatives that create added value at both the societal and economic levels.
The meeting also witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab Institution for Social Protection Experts.
