The 11th CII EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership

The 11th CII EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership is scheduled to be held from 14 - 15 March 2016 in New Delhi. The Conclave will be supported by Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

Over the past ten editions, senior leaders from Africa have addressed the CII EXIM Bank Conclave which has given a new strategic direction to India-Africa relations. H.E. Vice President of Burundi (2007), H E Vice President of Tanzania (2008), H E Vice Prime Minister of Mauritius (2009), H.E. Vice President of Ghana (2010), H.E. Prime Minister of Togo (2010 & 2011) H.E. Prime Minister of Mozambique (2011) H.E. Vice President of Zimbabwe (2012) H.E. Prime Minister of Central African Republic (2012); Prime Ministers of Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau; Vice Presidents of Burundi, Liberia, Uganda and Zambia and Vice Prime Minister of Central African Republic. (2013); and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho (2014) and a host of Hon’ble Ministers have participated at the Conclaves.

 

The essence of the CII Conclave has been to encourage Indian exporters to access the African countries and increase their presence in the region. A measure of success is the increasing participation level at the event. The other measure is the number of MOUs that are signed and the value of projects that are discussed. 2534 projects worth USD 256.63 billion have been discussed in the 10 past editions.
