Cairo Chamber is looking to increase trade with Bangladesh

The Cairo Chamber received a delegation of Bangladesh to discuss further trade and economic cooperation and review investment opportunities available in the local market.

Sameh Zaky, Cairo Chamber’s Board member said that Egypt's signed agreements such as Agadir and COMESA, which foreign investors can benefit from besides the Egypt’s privileged location allows for marketing all products to the most of the world, noting that the Chamber signed several protocols with Chambers of Commerce and industry in different countries and providing them with all the data of the domestic market and products.

 

Dr. Laila El Bialy, Cairo Chamber’s Board member  said the Chamber provides all the data and information to external parties in order to determine the needs of the local products to increase the exportation and providing the data needed for promising investment opportunities in the local market.

 

For his part, Hamidor Rahman Chowdhury, a spokesman of the Bangladesh delegation, said the purpose of the visit to Cairo Chamber is supporting the economic relations between the two countries, inviting the Chamber to visit Bangladesh and identify business there because exchanging visits increases the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

 

 

He added that Bangladesh is the country's No. 2 in the garment industry after China, where work about 5 million people, mostly women next to many other industries, including pharmaceuticals, leather goods, oils, demanding an increase of trade exchange between Egypt and Bangladesh through mutual visits, pointing out that Bangladesh provides industrial zones for foreign investors including all facilities next to it will create an industrial zone for each country to invest in Bangladesh.
