Rising of meat prices

Mr. Mohamed Sharaf butcher’s division member at Cairo chamber of commerce stated that the price of

 

meat per kilo has been raised 4 pounds per kilo to be 45 L.E  which will lead to 70 L.E /kilo in markets,

 

With forecasts of beginning upwards during Ramadan.

 

He added that as a result of insecurity on roads, the costs of cattle transportation has been raised from

 

800 L.E to 1200 From the provinces to Cairo governorate, for the fear of robbery.

 

He also revealed that many citizens switched their Purchasing processes from the acquisition of large

 

quantities of meat to be stored during Ramadan to buy only their daily needs, as a result of rising meat

 

prices.
