Cairo Chamber receives Ambassador of Georgia to discuss the establishment of joint investments

Cairo Chamber of Commerce Received Ambassador of Georgia, "Alexander Nalbandov"; to discuss ways of increasing Egyptian Georgian economic relations, to discuss the establishment of joint investment projects and to attract more investment to develop the economy in the next stage.

 

Ali Shoukry, senior  Vice Chairman  of Cairo Chamber, Said that it's necessary  to coordinate between the Chamber and the embassy during the coming period for organizing bilateral meetings between Egyptian businessmen and their Georgian counterparts; viewing available investment opportunities in both countries.  Egypt has a great investment opportunities available in various fields which Georgian investors can benefit of them, especially in light of the encouraging facilities by the Egyptian government to invest in the local market.

 

Shoukry said that through coordination an extensive meeting  in various sectors will be held  in the chamber including representatives of the embassy, businessmen and Georgians to discuss the possibility of cooperation on the ground, because the direct meetings leading to a quick results in the development of economic relations between the two countries.

 

He confirmed that there are many fields that could be a joint investments between the two countries including the "energy and tourism, fishery, agriculture noting that the chamber will spare no effort in providing data on the Egyptian market for the Georgian side of goods, which will help in the development of relations.

 

the Georgian ambassador said that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries is developed during the past year, and he looking forward to increasing during the coming period, confirming that the coming stage will witness meetings between businessmen in the two sides to establish joint investment projects in various fields, both in the energy, agriculture, tourism, and many of the projects that will be studied together, pointing out that his country is interested in attracting investors through incentives in services , tax, customs and investment, and Georgia does not differentiate between the Georgian and foreign investors and there are investment agreements with Georgia could the Egyptian side benefit from , especially that the cooperation with Georgia opens the door for cooperation with many other States, adding that Georgia has about 18 the river which Can be used in the establishment of energy joint projects on these rivers.
