Eng. Ibrahim Al Araby- Vice-President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman
of the Cairo Chamber revealed that permits for vehicles of transporting goods and commodities
are formally issued during the curfew by the chamber so as to maintain the availability of
these commodities and goods in markets, hence moving the business process normally during this
period.
Al Araby added that the issuance of permits for vehicles of goods transporting in these days by
the chamber like the period during the revolution of January 25, 2011 when it was issued such permits
to keep the markets for the support of citizens, especially during hard times from history of the country.
The Chamber's Chairman pointed out that this is happening in coordination with the concerned
authorities in securing the transport of goods from places of production to distribution outlets to ensure
their access to markets and maintains the availability continuously.
Concerning the procedures for issuing permits are the same procedures that were followed during
the January 25 revolution, which are :
The Company applied for the Chamber, that registered by and located at the same governorate,
including (company name and commercial register, Number and type of vehicle - driver's name and
license number , his driver's license number,and his ID No.) per car, permits are issued directly from
ports Chambers in Alexandria - Port Said - Damietta - Suez, and the provinces of Greater Cairo
(Cairo - Giza - Qalyoubia) and Sharqia, the rest of the chambers in provinces will receive
the applications, which will be issued centrally in Cairo on the same day, and the company is committed
to issuing a daily route of the vehicle, including commodity group and line- walk, or the bus line of
workers and list of the workers' names .
