Cairo Chamber condemns the Turkish Prime Minister's statements about Grand Imam of Al-Azhar

Eng. Ibrahim AlAraby the chairman of Cairo Chamber of Commerce strongly condemned comments

 

made by Prime Minister of Turkey- Recep Tayyip Erdogan- regarding his disappointment in Grand Imam

 

of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayyeb’s favoring “leaders of the coup.”; pointing out that he is  major religious

 

symbol, and represents the most prestigious Islamic institution in the world and insulting him is

 

absolutely unacceptable.

 

 

 

He confirmed that Cairo chamber as the largest chamber in Arab and African world refuses such

 

statements and calling for urgent apologize not only to Grand Imam of Al-Azhar but also to  Egyptian

 

people as a whole in order to avoid negative impact on all relations between the two countries, and the

 

most important of which is     the economic.
