Mr. Sayed Al-Nawawy, member of the Board of Directors of Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Deputy Head of the Chamber's Importers Division, stated that the executive regulations of the importers register issued by the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade contain harsh provisions that will cause many problems for the market in the coming period.

He expected that these regulations will cause high prices as a result of the shortage of supply of goods, and consequently the decline in import rates according to the mechanisms of supply and demand in the market

He Pointed out that the list of importers register threatens to consolidate         the principle of monopoly, because the import will be limited to a certain category of importers at the expense of the majority
