The Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry have announced a new collaboration aimed at boosting trade and investment exchanges between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

This came during a visit by a delegation of Saudi businessmen on Thursday to the Cairo Chamber headquarters, where a bilateral forum was held to explore ways of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

The forum was attended by several board members of the Cairo Chamber, including Mr. Sayed Abu Al-Qomsan, Mr. Ahmed Al-Wasimi, Dr. Naglaa Al-Naggar, Major General Ismail Gaber, and Mr. Ihab Saeed, along with heads and members of trade divisions and business owners from various economic sectors.

In his statement at the forum, Mr. Ayman Ashry, chairman of the Cairo Chamber, emphasized the deep historical ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which consistently have a positive impact on trade and investment collaboration. He welcomed the delegation from the Makkah Chamber, highlighting the importance of fostering successful trade and investment partnerships between the two countries to achieve a new economic breakthrough.

He added, "In Egypt, we are committed to economic reform and aspire to forge strong partnerships with our Saudi brothers to drive investment and economic integration. Saudi Arabia is a key partner for Egypt in this regard, and we aim at strengthening this relationship by organizing trade meetings, increasing the exchange of delegations, and promoting investment opportunities."

Eng. Abdullah bin Omar Al-Qadhi, head of the Makkah Chamber delegation, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception received by the delegation. He stressed that the visit's primary goal is to explore investment opportunities for Saudi traders in Cairo. He remarked, "We hope this meeting marks the beginning of a comprehensive partnership between the two chambers of commerce."

The forum witnessed bilateral meetings between businessmen from both sides, in addition to an exchange of commemorative gifts between the two chambers. Mr. Ayman Ashry also honored the youngest Saudi trader in the Makkah delegation with a special token of appreciation.

At the end of his speech, Mr. Ayman Ashry expressed his hope that this collaboration would lead to a new economic breakthrough that benefits both the Egyptian and Saudi peoples. He emphasized the importance of building on the distinguished relationship between the two countries to achieve their shared aspirations.
