Dr. Khalid Hanafi was elected as Secretary General of the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, which belongs to Arab League

Dr. Khaled Hanafi announced that he would seek to provide opportunities for joint Arab investments, publicize them, promote them and facilitate their implementation within the countries Arab trade and promotion of intra-Arab commerce and support for the Arab Free Trade area to reach the Arab common market so that goods are exchanged Services and the movement of persons and national funds between Arab States without customs or administrative restrictions.

He said that he would work through his position to support official government efforts to eliminate unemployment, improve the standard of living for Arab citizens and contribute in coordination of economic policies and legislation among Arab States and encourage all segments of society, especially young people and entrepreneurs to participate positively in the development process in the Arab countries.
