Government agreement between Cairo and Rabat to push the trade and investment movement

Mohamed Adel Hosny, President of the Egyptian-Moroccan Association for Businessmen, said that the visit of the Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives to Cairo and his meeting with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail emphasized the keenness of the Egyptian and Moroccan governments to promote and strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

 

 

 

Major General Ismael Abdulaziz, Secretary General of the Association, said that the Egyptian-Moroccan consensus at the level of governments and businessmen is important and will have a positive impact during investing in the various economic potentials in Egypt and Morocco in all economic sectors.

 

 

 

Eng. Osama Junaidi, Chairman of the Energy Committee of the Association, pointed out that the trade exchange in the recent period witnessed a remarkable improvement between the two countries, but it is still a modest number that can easily be multiplied with more interest and efforts due to the potentials and opportunities available between the two countries. . He added that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries is 700 million dollars, of which Egypt exports about 400 million dollars, pointing out that there is follow-up and interest of Moroccan businessmen to what is happening in Egypt from reform and issuing laws and legislations that encourage investment in Egypt.

 

 

 

For his part, Dr. Kamal Al-Desouki, Chairman of the Association's Industry Committee, said that the association looks forward to further Egyptian-Moroccan cooperation, especially in the industrial field. He pointed out that businessmen are able to play a pivotal role in increasing trade exchange and setting up joint investment projects in Morocco or Egypt.

 

 

 

He stressed that there are very positive indicators for the growth of the volume of trade and investment between the two countries, pointing out that the Egyptian-Moroccan governmental cooperation and the discussions between the businessmen of both countries through the association will achieve a breakthrough in relations and mutual interests between the two brotherly countries.
