The Supreme Committee for Markets Control held its monthly meeting in the presence of the senior leaders of the audit bodies to intensify the efforts for markets monitoring.

For his part, Atef Yaqoub, chairman of consumer protection agency, said that the committee discussed a number of mechanisms for complaints tracking, and controlling markets aiming at solving citizens' problems.

He added that the committee discussed the effect of amendments on raising some goods customs tariff on the consumer. The committee agreed on various axes to confront traders’ greediness trying to raise prices and conducted Intensive campaigns on all governorates to control violations.
