On June 3, 2018 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Rachkov, met with the Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt, Tarek Kabil.

The sides discussed current issues of bilateral trade and economic agenda, as well as implementation of joint projects in the area of industry, scientific research, and higher education.

The preparation for the 5th session of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission, scheduled to run in autumn 2018, as well as prospects of creation of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Business council were considered.

The parties also discussed the preparation of the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

the Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt, Tarek Kabil affirmed that The number of the joint investment projects reached 19 ones including 14 industrial ventures, , noting that there are cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the fields of manufacturing equipment, reclaiming lands and developing the infrastructure.
