During March 2018, Egyptian exports witnessed a rise in their total value compared to the same month of 2017, which amounted to 2.47 billion dollars last March compared to 2.40 billion dollars in March 2017.

 

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) attributed the reasons for the increase in the value of Egyptian exports according to Egypt’s foreign trade bulletin in March 2018.

 

Egypt's exports rose from 9 commodities, of which 488.8 million dollars of total export value in March 2018, mainly exports are sugar, which rose by 214% from March 2017, and coal rose by 174%.

 

The 9 commodities of high export volume and value, as follows...

 

- Fresh orange

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 148.4 million dollars, compared with 133.2 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 11.4%.

 

- Ready-made

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 122.1 million dollars, compared with 119.3 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 2.3%.

 

- Plastics

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 76.0 million dollars, compared with 57.1 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 33%.

 

- Petroleum Products

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 30.5 million dollars, compared with 25.8 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 18.5%.

 

 

 

-Dairy products

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 27.6 million dollars, compared with 25.6 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 7.9%

 

- Furniture

 

The value of its exports during March rose to 26.9 million dollars, compared with 26.6 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 1%.

 

- Refined sugar

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 19.8 million dollars, compared with 6.3 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 214%.

 

- Ceramic tiles and sanitary ware:

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 19.3 million dollars, compared with 17.8 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 8.6%.

 

- Coal

 

The value of its exports in March rose to 18.2 million dollars, compared to 6.6 million dollars in March 2017, an increase of 174.1%
