Minister of Trade meets the Belarusian ambassador in Cairo

Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Amr Nassar confirmed the importance of proceeding with the roadmap signed between Egypt and Belarus in the fields of economy, trade, and industry and implementing of new joint ventures in various fields.

 

 

This came during a meeting held between Amr Nassar and Sergei Rachkov, the Belarusian ambassador in Cairo attended by the head of the Commercial Representation Authority, Ahmed Antar, the head of the Trade Agreements and Foreign Trade Sector, amany al wesal, and Dennis Milski, commercial advisor to the Belarusian embassy.

 

 

The minister of trade said that the two countries witnessed a remarkable development in the trade relations, which the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Belarus last year reached 97.4 million dollars, compared to 58 million dollars in 2016, up to 68 %.

 

 

 He noted that the Egyptian exports to Belarus increased by 47% in 2017 compared to 2016.

 

 

The minister said that they should complete the progress achieved in the field of the industry by both governments, which had resulted in establishing 21 joint projects mainly in the manufacturing sector, He also highlighted the need to reinforce the role of the Egyptian-Belarusian Business Council so that it facilitates trade flows between the two countries and boost investments.
