Federation of Chambers of Commerce: the Decision on preventing pharmaceutical 3rd party manufacturing is illegal

The General Drugs Division of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce decided to submit an urgent memo to the Prime Minister on the need to review the recent decisions issued by the Central Administration for Pharmacists Affairs concerning the suspension of licenses issued for 3rd party manufacturing of pharmaceutical drugs even though they are legitimate entities in all countries of the world.

 

Dr. Ali Ouf, head of the General Drug Division, said that there are more than 1200 companies are threatened with closure after the issuance of this decision, while preventing any licenses for the establishment of new companies in this sector. He pointed out that these decisions contravened the directives of the state towards encouraging national industry and attracting more investments especially that the operators of these companies a group of young traders and young investors.

 

He pointed out that the committee that was formed to take this decision is illegal and has no jurisdiction, and this decision is unconstitutional because it places conditions only on the “Toll companies” without other pharmaceutical factories.
