11.8% increase in non-oil foreign trade rates and a 10% increase in exports

The latest report received by Eng. Amr Nassar, Minister of Trade and Industry, on the indicators of the performance of non-oil foreign trade of Egypt during the period from January to August this year, showed that the terms of trade achieved a significant increase of 11.8% compared to the same period of 2017, which recorded 59 Billion and 683 million dollars, compared with 53 billion and 346 million dollars during the same period last year.

 

 

 

According to the report prepared by the General Organization for Export and Import Control, Egyptian exports achieved an increase of 10%, reaching 16 billion and 540 million dollars compared to 14 billion and 992 million dollars during the same period last year. Imports also achieved an increase of 12%, Reaching 43 billion and 143 million dollars compared to 38 billion and 354 million dollars during the same period of 2017.

 

 

 

The report pointed out that the terms of trade between Egypt and the United States of America up to 28.2%, which recorded 4 billion and 406 million dollars against 3 billion and 436 million dollars during the same period of 2017, while the terms of trade with African countries without Arab countries up to 19.5%; it recorded a billion and 633 million dollars against one billion and 366 million dollars during the same period last year.

 

 

 

The Commodity exchange rates between Egypt and the Arab countries increased by 9%, reaching 8 billion and 902 million dollars compared to 8 billion and 158 million dollars during the same period of 2017, while the foreign trade movement between Egypt and the European Union achieved an increase of 3.9% Recorded 18 billion and 338 million dollars, compared with 17 billion and 651 million dollars during the same period last year.
