Nassar: 133.5 million dollars Swedish investments in Egypt

The Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Amr Nassar called on the importance of activating the economic and strategic relations between Egypt and Sweden to be real partnerships in the fields of trade, industry, and investment and to reflect the strength of the joint relations between the two countries in all fields and at all levels.

 

 

 

 

 

This came during the extensive discussions between the Minister of Trade and the Swedish Ambassador to Cairo, Jan Thisliff, who headed a delegation comprising the chiefs of major Swedish companies investing in Egypt.

 

 

 

 

 

The two sides reviewed means of boosting economic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, industry, small and medium enterprises, and the success stories of Swedish companies in the Egyptian market.

 

 

 

 

 

The Minister said that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Sweden during the first eight months of this year amounted to 541 million dollars; While Sweden has investments of 133.5 million dollars in 121 projects in various fields currently.

 

 

 

 

 

On his part, the Swedish Ambassador in Cairo, Jan Thisliff, confirmed his country's keenness to boost cooperation with Egypt as one of the key markets for Swedish exports in the Middle East and Africa, pointing out that the Swedish government is looking forward to doubling the volume of trade exchange with Egypt over the next five years.
