Establishing the first Egyptian-Serbian Business Council

Egypt and Serbia signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for establishing the first Egyptian-Serbian Business Council. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sukkari, representing the Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA) and the chairman of the Council, and Dragan Markovic, the chairman of the Serbian Businessmen Association, Major General Ahmad Abdullah the Governor of the Red Sea attended the signing ceremony.

 

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sukkari, the head of the Egyptian side, said that the two countries’ businessmen are going to hold bilateral meetings during the coming period in order to promote joint investments, in addition to organizing a delegation of Egyptian business representatives, which including various economic sectors.

 

 

He added that the Governor of the Red Sea with a number of investors is going to visit Serbia during the coming period to enhance investment in tourism in the Serbian market, explaining that the Balkans and Eastern Europe are areas which their people prefer Egypt as a tourist region.

 

 

He also pointed out that the Serbian market has great potential to boost cooperation with Egypt, especially in the field of meat, where Serbia has an animal wealth that could contribute to closing the meat consumption gap.
