The Agricultural Crops Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce confirmed the quality of the lentils, denying the lentils carcinogenic rumors in the Egyptian market.

Marwan Abu El-Lail, secretary- general of the Agricultural Crops Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that the lentils in the Egyptian markets are 100% safe and healthy and any imported food crops subject to inspection by the Ministries of Agriculture and Health, the General Authority for Export and Import Control and the Egyptian food safety authority, confirming that they keen to the citizens health and the food security.

He called on citizens to inform the Chamber of Commerce if they found any damaged crops sold in the markets.
