Cairo Chamber calls traders for abiding by the Commercial Code of Honor

Sameh  Zaky, a board member of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that the Chamber demanded

 

wholesalers and retailers to activate the Commercial Code of Honor, To comply voluntarily with

 

the indicative prices announced by the Ministry of supply and internal trade, Which has already done.

 

The Prices Decreased during the last days , pointing out that  the supply of vegetables and fruits have

 

increased and their prices have been lower than prices announced by the ministry of supply.

 

 

Zaky added that the Commercial Chambers Cannot Apply any sanctions against violators of

 

the indicative prices, pointing out that the law imposes trade sanctions in case of the Declaration of

 

the constraint pricing only.

 

 

He stressed that Indicative prices are set according to the average price of each commodity, noting that

 

the rate varies from one place to another as well as the quality of the commodity and  The nature of

 

the retail market. He stressed that the Chamber  is working hard to notify all wholesale and retail traders

 

 of indicative prices, which change from time to time, and he urged them to abide by them in accordance

 

with the agreement with the Ministry of Supply.
