The government delegation starts investment promotion in South Korea

The Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Dr. Mohamed Maeit, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Mr. Mohab Mameish, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry held their first meeting with a number of Korean financial foundations,to discuss a number of economic cooperation and industrial joint projects during their visit to the Korean capital Seoul, to promote investment opportunities in Egypt.

 

 

He also met with the Chairman of the Export and Import Bank of Korea to discuss ways of cooperation between the Bank and the economic zones and discuss mechanisms of support and fund Korea's future investments in the region.

 

 

Maeit said in a statement that the proposed investment map was discussed in partnership with the private sector in several fields, the most important of them the comprehensive health insurance system, which will be implemented next July in Port Said and then Sinai to be generalized to all governorates within 15 years.

 

 

He added that the Egyptian-Korean dialogue is a message for the Korean companies to invest in Egypt by inviting them to work in the industrial zones of the Suez Canal to set up projects for the heavy industries, including building ships, cars, technological devices.

 

 

He also stressed that the Syrian side is interested in the economic forum to be held with the participation of Korean companies to discuss the various investment opportunities between the two countries in the field of financial markets and financial control.

 

 

The finance minister also revealed that some incentives were being introduced for investors in the law on cooperation with the private sector and It is being submitted to the Parliament.
