Mohsen Shukry, Cairo Chamber's Chief Executive Confirmed, during a press conference held by
the Chinese side yesterday in preparation for the exhibition which will be held on 26 and 27 November
in the next week at the Cairo International Conference Centre,that Chinese household products
exhibition in Cairo is an important step for meeting Egyptian businessmen with Chinese counterparts
directly, and to discuss how to deal in the coming period through Opening trade, investment areas,
concluding agreements, and new partnerships.
He predicted in his speech during the conference that this fair will achieve positive results after
supporting the Chamber that will do its best to make it success, particularly as it represents more than
60 Division business in various activities and aim to find a link between the Egyptians and foreigners
importers, exporters and investors as well as coordination between all economic and trade institutions,
both outside or inside Egypt.
Shukry pointed out that the concept of partnership must replace the competition which is based on
the concept of freedom and respect for the rights of both parties to serve the Egyptian and Chinese
peoples in order to achieve development.
He pointed out that the Chamber has always sought to promote trade and investment between Egypt
and all the countries of the world.
For his part, Liao said Meg, Managing Director of the Chinese company that the company is one of
the major international companies that organize exhibitions inside and outside China, where activity
extends to the five continents of the world and contributed significantly to the promotion of trade between
China and the countries of the world.
He added that this exhibition, which is the first of its kind in Egypt,and is located on an area of 3,200
square meters with the participation of 200 Chinese companies that will show "10000" household
products like; home furniture, household appliances, furnishings, cosmetics, kitchens,bathrooms,
and sports products.
He hoped that the exhibition will achieve the desired results in the promotion of trade cooperation
between Egypt and China, pointing out that Egypt is a promising market and trade exchange
amounted to about one billion U.S. dollars in 2012, despite the difficult conditions experienced by
Egypt recently .
