The Export Council of Agricultural Products in collaboration with the Export Development Authority and the Arab-German Chamber organized the Egyptian participation in the Asia Fruit Logistics Exhibition from 04-06 September 2019 in Hong Kong, China.

Mr. Hany Hussein, Executive Director of the Export Council for Agricultural Products, said that 43 Egyptian companies have arrived in Hong Kong to participate in this important international exhibition for vegetable and fruit exports, which is the most important and largest specialized exhibition in vegetable and fruit trade in Southeast Asia.

He pointed out that the reason for the participation of Egyptian companies in the exhibition is to ensure the preservation of their customers abroad while carrying out the international competition and also to take care of the presence of Egyptian fruits and vegetables in the international exhibition in which the Export Council of Agricultural Products participates annually.

For his part, Mr. Abdul Hamid Demirdash, President of the Export Council for Agricultural Products, stressed the importance of Egyptian participation in the exhibition because it represents the main gateway for promoting our Egyptian products to the Southeast Asian region, which is one of the most important markets that the Council seeks to spread because of its promising opportunities for Egyptian agricultural exports which is in line with the council's current strategy to increase the growth rates of agricultural exports through access to new markets that our agricultural exports have not reached either at the level of the Southeast Asian or African market and Latin America.

Demirdash said Egypt's exports of agricultural products reached 4.3 million tons with a value of $2.2 billion during the current export season 2018/19.
