Fruits after stabilizing its prices in Cairo

By the beginning of this week on Saturday, The Fruit prices steadied despite the high level of demand

 

for them, However, the guava and Cantaloupe present in small quantities in the market amid growing

 

demand for them.

 

 

Mr. Mohammed Saber, trader in El-obour market said that the banana recorded 6.50 per kilo, and

 

between 3.50 and 4.25 pounds per kilo in the wholesale markets while the price of imported bananas

 

is 8 pounds per kilo wholesale.

 

 

In the wholesale markets the price of guava from 2:50 to 4 pounds, while cantaloupe starting from

 

3.50 to 4.50 pounds ,

 

The price of oranges in Cairo markets is 3 pounds per kilo while its price in el-obour markets is 2

 

pounds per kilo,

 

The prices of imported peaches are between 30 and 42 pounds while 15 pounds retail.

 

Prices of yellow imported apples is 12 pounds retail, however  8 pounds in el-obour markets, Red

 

imported apples is 14 pounds retail, while 10 pounds in el-obour markets,

 

 The price of pomegranate wholesale market is between 4 and 6 pounds per kilo.

 

Mr. Saber emphasize that the lower growth rate of crops is due to Inclement weather and low

 

temperature which directly affect all products.
