Ministry of Business sector Reviews "Gosour" project to boost trade with African countries

The Minister of Business Sector confirmed that the ministry is adopting a huge project called "Gosour" to provide a complete series of transport and logistics services for customers in the fields of industry and foreign trade with East African countries, which was launched in October through the launch of a shipping bridge between the ports of Ain Sokhna and Mombasa in Kenya.

 

The minister explained that the ministry depends on the provision of these services through its subsidiaries operating in the holding company for maritime and land transport in addition to providing the service of insurance on goods through the holding company insurance and reviewed the services of the project scheduled to be completed in April 2020, the first of which is transport Land cargo by providing the service of land transport of goods to and from the factory, where the cargo transport companies will be restructured, and the second axis is the assembly and customs clearance in the export and import ports.

 

He explained that the third axis is specialized in shipping, where specific storage areas were contracted with one of the world's shipping lines to provide regular service every week, and to provide service to exporters within a full-service chain, with the restructuring of maritime companies and the development of their fleet in preparation for the introduction of Service is the future.

 

The minister talked about the fourth axis, which includes warehouses and external exhibitions where the assets owned or leased to foreign trade companies were accounted for abroad, and a study is being prepared by a specialist consultant to determine the best locations for the work of warehouses attached to a permanent exhibition for Egyptian goods abroad.

 

With regard to marketing, he explained that a company is being established in cooperation with local banks and private investors for Brokerage with the aim of opening new markets abroad, with a comprehensive restructuring of foreign trade companies to return to their original activity and role in future brokerage operations.

 

Finally, the sixth axis of insurance and financing, the minister pointed to the provision of insurance for shipments issued and received by the insurance companies of the holding company insurance, in addition to the cooperation with national banks to ensure the provision of banking services related to foreign trade and the settlement of payments. He also pointed out that at the beginning of July, an electronic application called Gosour was launched to record customer data and all cargo data from cargo details, destination and various means of communication.

 

It is worth mentioning that the first stages of this system have been launched consisting of the operation of a regular shipping line weekly at reduced prices on one of the international lines from Ain Sukhna to Mombasa in Kenya from 14-10-2019 and that a reduction has been obtained for exporters due to the size of the spaces that have been reserved and When these spaces are expanded, larger reductions are obtained.
