Cairo Chamber of Commerce determines the price reduction recommendations

A number of business Divisions held an extensive meeting at Cairo Chamber on Wednesday to discuss the mechanisms of reducing prices of goods in line with the initiative of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce headed by Eng. Ibrahim El Araby, Chairman of Cairo Chamber.

 

 

A set of recommendations were submitted to Ali Shoukry, Vice Chairman of Cairo Chamber, who chaired the meeting of the discussions.

 

 

Among the attendees were the Importers Division Ashraf Al-Shimi, Deputy Head of the Division, The footwear and leather products division headed by Sherif Yahia, the Household Appliances Division headed by Ashraf Hilal and the Quarry Division headed by Mohammed Aref.

 

 

Ali Shoukry received a series of recommendations, including the need to lift the burden and customs restrictions on production requirements for a transitional period in conjunction with deepening the national industry and attract investments to the production inputs sector - Cancellation of the decision of licensed stores and increased punishment for anyone who wastes goods under custody - cancellation of resolution 991 for pre-screening before- Calculating the transport card for goods based on weight and distance- Review the evaluation of the legalization fees for quarries and installments and the existence of a grace period and support of the Egyptian manufacturer in this sector in exchange for foreign investor and energy support by paying back the burdens in the quarrying sector.

 

 

Ali Shoukry said that these recommendations will be discussed well and submitted to the concerned authorities to control the market and lower prices as the implementation of these recommendations leads to a reduction of cost and thus the decline in prices in the market to boom the trade movement that has been in a recession for a while.
