Under the auspices of Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud El-Araby, Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Cairo Chamber, the Committee of Women and Trade, chaired by Dr. Leila Al-Bailey, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, held a seminar on the importance of garbage recycling.

Dr. Laila Al-Bailey stressed the importance of this seminar and said that its purpose is to spread environmental awareness first, and then to indicate ways to benefit from household waste to achieve economic benefit.

The seminar dealt with how to recycle paper waste, which represents 15% of the total waste, how to make alternative products for plastic, wood, wallpaper, industrial stone replacement and the quality of these products, and that the project can be started for only 50 pounds.

This was in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Division of the Chamber in the presence of its president, Mr. Abdel-Wanis, and in the presence of a number of private and governmental Associations representatives
