President El-Sisi launched development projects in Damietta

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurated a number of development projects in Damietta, last Tuesday.

 

 

The projects included establishing an advanced center for civicl education, in addition to new expanding in a power station, and establishing a new berth in Damietta port.

 

 

During the opening ceremony, the Egyptian President stressed the importance of stability as a guarantee for the success of major projects and achieving development, He also confirmed that Egypt is serious in developing and supporting the industry.

 

 

He also called for taking advantage of the privileged location of Damietta in the field of furniture industry, and providing opportunities for developing production and export.

 

 

Second Western Damietta Power Plant was upgraded introducing Air Cooled Condenser systems, and switching to the combined-cycle system to increase its capacity by 50 percent to become 750 MW and save 35 percent of gas used. In addition, a multi-purpose terminal was established in Damietta port with a length of 680 meters and a depth of 17 meters and a total cost of 1.356 billion pounds, in addition to a number of projects in the field of youth and sports.
