Elaraby participates in the Egyptian-Iraqi summit

Under the slogan of Together for Restoration and Tripartite Cooperation, 81 Egyptian companies and 200 Iraqi companies participated in the Joint Business Forum.

 

 

 At the end of the Joint Egyptian-Iraqi High Committee, Baghdad hosted the Egyptian-Iraqi Business Forum at the Presidential Palace, organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce on both sides, which was honoured by the presence under the auspices of Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq, and Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and 20 ministers from both sides.

 

 

This was stated by Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Arabi, Chairman of  the Federation of Egyptian Chambers, indicating that the Union had organised a delegation of 81 major Egyptian companies in the fields of manufacturing, Trade, building and infrastructure, like  electricity, gas, petroleum, water , sanitation, transport and logistics, in the presence of more than 200 of their counterparts, ranging from Iraqi companies to Iraqi companies. In addition to the heads of government agencies dealing with trade , industry, investment and services, as well as heads of industry and building federations and investors from both sides.

 

 

"the economic relations between the two fraternal countries are fully supported by political support, as he stressed that Arab integration is a popular desire before it is a political will. In addition to that the Arab dream must be established by our two countries so that we should make these recommendations together in our business forum, where we discussed various opportunities for joint economic cooperation". ElAraby said

 

 

He also indicated that it is necessary to quickly find a free trade agreement between the two countries or to reactivate the bilateral Arab Facilitation Agreement in order to increase the volume of trade, which will grow with the entry into force of TIR Agreement and is currently active in the neighbouring countries.

 

 

 he announced that the FEDCOC will strive, in cooperation with the Federation of Iraqi Chambers, Translate the vision into action, through establishing operation room that will link our affiliates to create alliances for joint manufacturing, rehabilitating and operating the stalled Iraqi factories with Egyptian components.

 

 

For his part, Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairy, President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers, indicated that this forum, after last year's meeting in Cairo in the presence of the Prime Minister, is an important mechanism to offer various opportunities for cooperation between members of the two federations, whether in trade, industry or reconstruction, to replace products and companies from Egypt instead of companies from other countries.
