Launching The First Phase Of The Electronic Billing... Including 134 Companies

Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, announced on Sunday, November 15, the launch of the first phase of the electronic invoice system, which will be the first in Egypt, indicating that this system is an important step in digital transformation for achieving Egypt's vision 2030.

 

 

It is a major step in developing tax system, in a way that will enable development process and improve citizens' standard of living.

 

 

He pointed out that Egypt is one of the leading countries in the Arab world, in implementing the electronic billing system, Explaining that the electronic billing system is one of the projects on promoting the Egyptian tax system, and the financial system, which ultimately achieves the Egyptian's government goals in digital transformation and in restricting the informal economy.

 

 

He said that the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Tax Authority are going to hold a major celebration this month to honor companies that have succeeded in joining the electronic billing system, adding that the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority provide all facilities and support for companies to join the electronic billing system.

 

 

At the same time, all legal measures will be taken against companies that refuse to join the system according to the provisions of the new unified tax procedures law.

 

 

The Minister of Finance explained that the electronic billing system aims at establishing a central system that enables the tax authority to follow up all commercial transactions, facilitating and accelerating tax procedures.
