Cairo Chamber Forms A Committee To Facilitate Customs Procedures For Mobile Merchants.

Based on the directives of Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby, the Cairo Chamber held a meeting to discuss the ways of cooperation and responding to the mobile merchants' demands.

 

 

Ahmed El-Wecemy, Vice Chairman of the Cairo Chamber presided over the meeting, which was also attended  by Mohamed Talaat, a member of the Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors and head of the Mobile Merchants Division, Karim Ghoneim, a member of the Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors and Head of the Digital Economy and Technology Division, Ihab Saeed, a member of the Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors and Head of the General Division of Communications, Walid Ramadan Member of the Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors, Mohamed El Mahdi, a member of the Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors, and Ahmed Hassan, Secretary of the Digital Economy Division at the Cairo Chamber. A professional operations committee has been constituted to facilitate communication with merchants and to discuss their recommendations before they are presented to Engineer Ibrahim El-Araby.

 

 

 

The meeting discussed the demands of traders working in this field in light of the rapid response from Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, and Al-Shahat Ghatouri, head of the Customs Authority, to the proposals of the commercial community to agree to Release mobile accessories shipments of customs, with the exception of Bluetooth-enabled accessories until they are presented to the National Telecom Regulatory Authority, according to the decision that the Customs Authority announced recently.
