Egyptian Emirati Consensus on Importance of Expanding Joint Trade Relations

Mrs. Nevin Gamea, Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry, emphasized that Egypt and the UAE have strategic bilateral relations based on a solid foundation of distinguished historical relations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, emphasising the importance of coordinating efforts and full cooperation in the face of all emergency crises, particularly the novel coronavirus pandemic.

 

 

This came during her meeting with UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq al Marri to discuss means of enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.

 

 

Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea announced that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the UAE amounted to about US$1.596 billion during the first half of 2021.

 

 

She added that the ministry is closely following developments in preparation for the Egyptian participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, which will open at the end of this month.
