El-Araby and Egypt's Ambassador to Malta discuss ways to attract investments

Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby, chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the chairman of Cairo Chamber, received Ambassador Khaled Anis, Egypt's Ambassador to Malta.

 

 

The meeting focused on establishing new cooperation between the chamber and the embassy in accordance with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directions to increase Egyptian export rates in the coming period by opening new export markets for Egyptian goods.

 

 

El-Araby emphasized the importance of informing the Malta business community about the investment opportunities available in Egypt in all fields, and the reform measures taken by Egypt to improve the investment climate in the Egyptian market, in addition to the Egyptian goods that Maltese importers can benefit from as a result of the Chamber and the Embassy's cooperation.

 

 

He confirmed that the Chamber and the Embassy will intensify their coordination in the coming months in order to activate trade exchange through data and information provided by both parties on the two markets, as well as available investment opportunities, noting the importance of the bilateral meetings expected to be organized between businessmen in Egypt and Malta.

 

 

Ambassador Khaled Anis, for his part, said that his visit to the Chamber aims at expanding cooperation and strengthening ties between Egypt's business community and its counterparts in Malta, taking advantage of the Chambers of Commerce's proposals to expand trade and investment opportunities between the two countries' business communities, and increasing Egyptian exports in a variety of sectors.

 

 

It is worth- mentioning that among the most important Egyptian exports to Malta are “ceramics, building materials, vegetables and fruits, petroleum products, tobacco, iron and steel.” Among the most prominent Maltese imports to Egypt are “food products, cosmetics, and mechanical equipment.”
