Customs Authority Honors The Head Of The Customs Division Of FEDCOC

The Customs Authority of the Ministry of Finance honored Ahmed Abdel Wahed, head of the Customs Division of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, as a representative of the commercial sector and customs extractors during the celebration of International Customs Day 2022

 

 

Egypt’s Ministry of Finance organized a celebration of the International Customs Day under the slogan  “Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by Embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem”.The meeting was attended by Head of the Customs Authority Shahat Ghattoury, and the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), Dr. Kunio Mikuriya, Assistant Minister of Finance for the Department of Customs Development Projects Dr. Mona Nasser, and Deputy Minister of Finance for Public Treasury Affairs Dr. Ihab Abu aish.

 

 

Ahmed Abdel Wahed said that the ACI system of pre-registration of shipments is in the interest of the Egyptian economy because of the facilities it provides for registration and reduce the time of customs release, stressing that reducing the documents required for registration is one of the most important advantages of ACI, as well as the facilities offered  by the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority .There is also effective and fruitful communication between the business community and the Ministry of Finance since Dr. Muhammad Maait took over the Position.

 

 

It is noteworthy that Ahmed Abdel Wahed, head of the Customs Division of FEDCOC, won the title of the first economic personality for the year 2021 in the referendum of the United Nations News Agency for his outstanding and distinguished efforts in the economic sectors in general and the customs sector in particular.
