Winter Sale In Egypt Kicks Off

The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade announced the start of the first seasonal clearance season – winter sale – for the year 2022 on Monday7th February, set to run for a month.

 

 

The ministry said that the participating shops must announce the price of all the goods offered for sale in the clearance, accompanied by the price of these goods during the month preceding the clearance.

 

 

The ministry said that the goal of the sale is to activate the internal trade movement, and for citizens to obtain goods with discounts of up to 50 percent.

 

 

Coinciding with the winter sale, Engineer Ayman Hossam El-Din, Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, appealed to all consumers to abide by their rights, to be slow during the comparison between goods and products, and to ensure the seriousness of offers and discounts.

 

 

The Agency calls on all "traders and suppliers" to abide by the law and announce prices while applying the exchange and return policy stipulated in the law, and the consumer has the right to exchange and return within 14 days if the commodity is in its original condition or 30 days if it has a manufacturing defect during the sales period.
