Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud El-Araby, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce ( FEDCOC) and President of the Cairo Chamber, praised the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today regarding the exclusion of production requirements and raw materials from the restrictions that were recently applied to the import process.

Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud El-Araby stated that these directives would increase market stability by increasing the supply of various commodities because of the availability of production requirements and raw materials required by factories, as well as they are in favor of the national economy's best interests.

As per the president's directives, imports of production supplies and raw materials will be subject to the old system, which requires collection documents, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said on Tuesday 10/5/2022.

This came during the president's meeting with the economic ministerial group to follow up measures for dealing with the international economic crisis.

President Sisi also ordered forming a working group under the chairmanship of the prime minister and with membership of the Central Bank of Egypt governor, the finance minister, the trade and industry minister and other bodies concerned to periodically follow up and evaluate the import system.
