During an expanded meeting held by the Readymade Garments Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, ways to develop the sector and the market situation were discussed, in addition to discussing the opening of new export markets.

Khaled Hassanein, a member of the Chamber's board of directors and head of the division, stressed the importance of activating the role of the division's qualitative committees in discussing all issues of concern to the ready-made garment sector.

The members of the division added that the qualitative committees will have a major role in developing the garment sector in the local market and opening new export markets in different countries.

The division's members' proposals on organising various exhibitions inside or outside Egypt, adopting innovative methods for manufacturing and production, and other things related to activity, were reviewed to overcome the severe stagnation in the ready-made garment market, especially in light of the state's encouragement of local manufacturing.
